Shopping Around

I had a free night tonight and decided to check out a few stores for some things I need for projects. I got some stuff at Michaels and Hobby Lobby that I'll hopefully be able to share soon. World Market has some really interesting stuff right now, but I need to think about it for a while first (or wait until I have a coupon!).
Excuse the junky iPhone pics, but isn't this art cool? I have a large canvas that's been collecting dust for a while and I really want to do something with it soon. I want to do an abstract painting, and I think I could create something similar to this fairly easily.

I really want to incorporate some yellow in our master bedroom and living room. I think these are really cheerful.
We need curtains in our master bedroom really badly. Ted often has to work nights and sleep during the day, which is tough with all the light we get in our room. I want to either buy or make some curtains with blackout material behind them soon.
I love these wood veneer drum pendant lights. My dining room ceiling isn't tall enough for one, but they look so cool in person.

I also stopped at Target and Pier1 this past weekend and saw some stuff there that I'm eyeing for the living room.
I love these end tables from Target. I'm going for more of an eclectic look with my living room furniture, but I'm not sure how practical these would be for the long term.
I found this square ottoman (the one on the bottom) on sale at Pier1. We already have a coffee table from Crate and Barrel that I still like, but we've been thinking an ottoman would be more comfortable. The extra storage would be nice too. The only problem is that I wish this was brown leather instead of black.
I also like this as an option for an end table. It's simple and could easily go in any future house we own. I just need to measure the height of our couch to make sure it would fit over the arms.
I have a gift card to Pier1 from Christmas that I've been holding onto until I find something I wouldn't normally buy myself. I do really like these pillows though, so I might break down and get them.

Happy Shopping!
